EUROPEAN DATABASES AND THE POLITICS OF VIOLENT BORDERS

The zine…

This zine explores the impact of colonial structures and hierarchies of humanity on the distribution of mobility rights within context of Europe’s migration databases. The aim of this zine is to demystify complex border technologies, often described as a ‘black box’, using the abolititionist mapping tool ‘Algorithmic Ecology’ developed by StopLAPD Spying Coalition. In doing so, it provides insights to help in the fight against Europe’s violent borders.

Download the zine and find details on how to order a physical copy below.

Please download a copy and get in touch at metcalfepj@cardiff.ac.uk if you would like to order a physical version (for free).

We dedicate this zine to people on the move who reclaim their own freedom of movement. We stand together with you and with those who have died or been forcibly disappeared at the hands of Fortress Europe.
